FAQ - Winery 101

What are your hours?
Our Peoria, AZ location is open Tuesday-Wednesday from 9am-5pm to purchase bottles. Our tasting/by-the-glass hours are: Thursday-Saturday from 12pm-8pm and Sunday-Monday from 12pm-6pm.

Our Cottonwood, AZ location is open Daily from 12pm-7pm for tastings/by-the-glass/bottles.

How long have you been making wine?
Our first vintage was made in 2008; the 2008 George’s Tribute Cabernet Sauvignon.

Where are your grapes grown?
We purchase grapes from local family owned vineyards throughout Cochise and Graham Counties in Southeast Arizona. This is about 31/2 hours from Peoria.

What is the difference between the Gallifant Cellars label and the South Paw Cellars label?
Gallifant is our namesake, the wines represent us and our story (it’s even on the label). Southpaw is all about Arizona and what the state has to offer, Arizona’s Left-handed Wine (both owners; Gavin and Irlyn are left-handed) – Made by folks in their right mind!

How long has the Peoria Tasting Room been open?
We officially opened in September 2014.

How long has the Cottonwood Tasting Room been open?
We officially opened in November 2015.
